Crispy fried pork with Bergland Grilling Cheese

Ingredients (four servings):

  • 1 package (4 cheese patties = 9.88 oz / 280g) Bergland Grilling Cheese of your choice
  • coriander for garnish


For the pork

  • 28.24 oz (800g) pork
  • salt and pepper
  • 2.83 oz (80g) carotts
  • 2.83 oz (80g) celery
  • 2.12 oz (60g) leek
  • 2.12 oz (60g) shallots
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 4 tbs. vegetable oil
  • 6.76 fl. oz (200 ml) chicken stock
  • 4 tbs. white soy sauce
  • ½ tsp. starch
  • 1 tbs. finely chopped coriander

For the rice

  • 8.83 oz (250g) basmati rice
  • 16.9 fl. oz (500 ml) water
  • salt



  • Cut the pork into cubes with an approximate size of 0.60 inches and season it with salt and pepper.
  • Peel or clean the vegetables and cut the carrots, celery and leek in stripes with a length of 2 inches.
  • Clean the shallots and cut them into fine rings.
  • Then peel the garlic and finely dice it.
  • Halve the chili pepper lengthways and finely cut it into cubes.
  • Heat the oil in a pan or wok and sweat the shallot, garlic and chili in it.
  • Add the vegetables and sweat them for 2 or 3 minutes, take them out and put them aside.
  • Add the pork into the pan or wok and fry it in the remaining oil.
  • Then pour the chicken stock into the pan or wok and let it boil up.
  • Reduce the heat and let the pork simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Add the vegetables again for the last 5 minutes and mix it thoroughly.
  • Blend the starch in some water and put it into the pan or wok.
  • Season and add the coriander.
  • In the meantime, rinse the rice with cold water, put it into a bowl and cover with cold water.
  • Soak it for 30 minutes, skim it and drain it.
  • Fill it into a pot together with the water, salt it and boil it up.
  • Reduce the heat and let the rice simmer for 15 minutes until it absorbed the water.
  • Take the Bergland Grilling Cheese out of the packaging and cut it into pieces with the size of 0.4 inches.
  • Put them into a non-stick pan and fry them until they are golden brown.
  • Dress the rice and the pork on plates, spread the Bergland Grilling Cheese on it and garnish with coriander.
